The PALOP Innovation Journey “E-voluir”, which has been implemented by UNDP Guinea-Bissau in partnership with the Country Offices from Angola, Cabo Verde, São Tomé e Príncipe and Mozambique, as well as with the technical partner Fábrica de Startups Brasil and with the strategic partner Djassi Africa, is currently in its acceleration phase.
Guinea-Bissau is currently represented by three startups: Djemberém, Ebantaba de Conhecimento, and ABIPTOM. Djemberém is focused on developing a business incubator in the country; Ebantaba de Conhecimento is focused on e-education and digital transformation, and ABIPTOM is focusing on developing a digital information platform for farmers across Guinea-Bissau.
On May 27th and 28th, all participating startups from the five PALOPs will have a chance to pitch their MVPs (minimum viable product) to jurors ranging from Fábrica de Startups, Djassi Africa, UNDP to established entrepreneurs. The acceleration phase will, then, continue for another 10 weeks. In the end, the remaining startups will have a chance to pitch their businesses to possible investors and partners.
The “E-voluir” initiative is focused on strengthening and developing a Lusophone innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
