The Leadership Academy of Guinea-Bissau organized training on Leadership and Public Service for the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guinea-Bissau from the 27th to the 29th of September 2021. 19 personnel, including 12 women participated in the training.
The objective is to reinforce the capacity of leadership and to improve administrative and managerial practices of the country's Public Administration.

“We learned a lot about leadership and public management. Our trainers were excellent, they taught us many things. We learned about professional ethics, personal growth, how we should work to help the country's development, etc. Overall, these 3 days were fantastic, we enjoyed them a lot”, says Nella Augusto Mantija, a technician from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“I am grateful for this initiative provided by the Leadership Academy and I would like that it would continue training the staff of the ministries so that we can have a good leadership and a good management of the public affairs in our country”, says Joelson Gomes, Senior Technical Officer for Foreign Policy.

Investment in human capital in Guinea-Bissau is a cornerstone for sustainable development and a UNDP priority in the country.
The initiative is funded and implemented by UNDP in the scope of the project of support to the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Guinea-Bissau.
