UNDP Guinea-Bissau embarks on the Digital Readiness Assessment

May 10, 2021

Since 2019, UNDP has been developing and supporting digital-related activities, strategies and assessments. As part of the organization’s focus on better understanding the digital landscape in countries and analyzing how to better offer its development expertise, in the context of digital transformation, UNDP’s Chief Digital Office has developed the “Digital Readiness Tool”, which consists of a survey whereby respondents are invited to share their knowledge and give their opinion on their country’s digital preparedness status.

The Digital Readiness Tool has been piloted in Grenada and Dominica, both SIDS countries like Guinea-Bissau. And, it is now with the intention of providing better services to our local partners and focusing on strengthening cooperation and data collection, that UNDP Guinea-Bissau is embarking on the Digital Readiness Assessment.

An online presentation on the Digital Readiness Assessment for Guinea-Bissau is planned for the 20th May 2021. It will be a session to introduce the Tool to local partners and possible respondents. It is expected that, by June 2021, the Assessment will be carried out. This activity is made possible through the support of UNDP’s Chief Digital Office as well as of UNDP’s Global Centre for Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Development in Singapore.
